Arrival in Zion National Park

We approached the Zion Park from Interstate 15. There were some spectacular scenes from the road, like this one.

When Bob was checking in to the campground, I took this shot while I waited.

Here's a shot from our camp site, full hooks up, including WiFi and cable.  What can I say?  It's a rough life in the RV world.

We took the free local shuttle in Springdale and the canyon outside the park.  It's a wonderful service and really makes getting around very easy.  We road in for dinner, but started with ice cream (it was early since we changed time zones today and it was really hot and the ice cream was calling my name.)

We walked back to the campground. It had cooled down a little with the sun having gone down, and it was mostly down hill.

We are taking this same shuttle to the park, tomorrow.  The Zion Canyon can only be visited using a park shuttle, another really good idea - no traffic jams and jangled nerves.
Wild huckleberry was a good choice.
